Should B.Tech/ Diploma Mechanical Engineers do M.Tech?

B.Tech mechanical engineers may do M.Tech only in case they are getting admission in a very good institute which has got very good track record of campus placements. Do not just go by vague assumptions or promises made by the institute. Do not take up M.Tech incase you are getting a good campus placement from your B.Tech campus interview. By doing M.Tech in such case you may loose in two ways: 1. You may not get a campus selection in M.Tech and out of campus jobs are tough to find (and are with much lower salaries) 2. You would spend two years in doing M.Tech, the period in which you could have gain two years of experience, earned a substantial salary of 24 months which would have also increased over the span of 2 years
